What is Toyo Hari Meridian Therapy?
toyo means East Asian
hari means needle, though these needles do not puncture the skin, they are used for contact needling
meridians are channels that carry energy throughout the body, forming a web
therapy: healing that feels good!

Meridian Therapy supports the body in returning to its most balanced and healthful state: when the flow of qi through the meridians is even and harmonious.
This is supported through the root treatment in the Toyohari system, which might bring a deep sense of relief and well-being. Additional branch treatments address specific symptoms, making Toyohari a wonderfully comprehensive system of care.
Diagnosis in Meridian Therapy is guided by gentle palpation of the meridians below the knees and elbows, along with pulse assessment at the wrists. Toyohari’s signature use of non-insertive needling offers a painless yet deeply tangible effect throughout the body.
Toyohari is a highly refined Japanese Meridian Therapy. Its living lineage is maintained through ongoing research in Japan, and a unique, group-based method of skill development. This training is practised at monthly Branch Days, where precision is cultivated through immediate feedback.

Flourishing Tides practices from within the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung peoples of the Kulin Nation. We recognise their sovereignty has never been ceded. We express our awe and gratitude to the Wurundjeri for the necessarily sustainable and sensitive manner with which they have cared for these lands. We acknowledge and pay respect to Wurundjeri people, who have employed therapeutic knowledge and practices on these lands for longer than can be fathomed. How wonderful it would be to enjoy a history that can be looked back on in tens of thousands of years from now that sees Aboriginal and new Australian reconciliation, truth telling, healing, and long, respectful, shared, rich healing traditions.
